More about Edmont Alberta

Edmonton_2s Edmonton is a great place to visit in the summer, because there are tons of outdoor festivals running throughout June - end of August. My favorite is the Fringe Theatre Festival, which runs in late August. The shows are incredibly affordable (usually anywhere from $5-$12 a ticket) and most are of very high calibre. Be sure to read the reviews before you attend a show--word of mouth buzz is pretty reliable. There's all sorts of other ongoing free activities for kids during the Fringe Fest too--free outdoor shows for the kids, street performers, craft activities, etc. It's the one time of year weather in Edmonton is pleasant (ie. comfortably cool and dry, as opposed to icy and bitterly cold...)
