Vancouver Public Library

Can1Clearly inspired by the classical Roman Coliseum. Designed by renowned architect Moshe Safdie, it was built in 1995 and draws book lovers and tourists alike. Bring the kids and go to the toddlers' play area or kids' lounge. There is also an art gallery, public readings, speakers and seven storeys of books to browse. There are shops and cafes at the entrance so, if you get hungry or in need of a souvenir you don't have to leave but remember to wash your hand before touching any books!
