the Gibraltar of America

Quebec1 Often called "the Gibraltar of America," this  fort is located on Cap-aux-Diamants, overlooking the St Lawrence River. Manned to this day by traditionally-dressed troops who perform the changing of the guard every day at 10am during the summer, the Citadel also has a museum of Quebec's military history and the story of the Royal 22nd Regiment. Local tour guides lead visitors on a one-hour tour through 250 years of Quebec's tumultuous past.

Biosphere

Biosphere This place has a bit of history (built in 1969) and a bit of learning activities for growing up kids. There are other places and a garden around on island to spend a day if you are going there in summer. Bit expensive for what it offers inside.

Montreal Quebec

Montreal, Quebec

Montreal_building I can define Montreal as one of the most European Cities in North America. Located on the banks of Saint Lawrence has the blessing to blend old and new cultural traditions, arts and exquisite architecture.

In Old Montreal you can explore centuries-old buildings and churches, along with a lot of cafes and little shops.

Meanwhile in cosmopolitan downtown Montreal, you can party on the exclusive nightspots, make a shopping trip or visiting the city's top museums if that's your kind of thing.

About a six-hour drive from New York or Boston, Montreal makes a convenient long-weekend getaway for residents of the Northeast U.S.
